Working for Coquitlam-Burke Mountain
Jodie never expected to become a politician. But when one of her children was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, she went back to school to learn everything she could about autism and behaviour analysis.
She was compelled to speak up for vulnerable kids — first as the Executive Director of the Autism Support Network, and now as an MLA, where she serves as the NDP’s Deputy Education Spokesperson and Spokesperson for Early Childhood Development and Child Care.
For the last 12 years, Jodie has raised her family in Coquitlam and she’s seen firsthand how Christy Clark’s decisions have made it harder for people to find affordable housing and fit rising service costs into their monthly budgets. It’s getting harder to make ends meet.
That’s why Jodie is standing with John Horgan and the BC NDP. She is committed to making life more affordable, improving education and creating good-paying jobs.
Jodie knows that it’s time for a government that works hard for people. It’s time to build a better BC.
